People drink for many reasons. Some drink to remember, some drink to forget and some simple because they love the taste. I started drinking as young as 13. Started off with beer then move on to liquor at 16 and recently to wine. I had forgotten the reason I took the first slip, maybe out of curiousity maybe influenced by peers.
I've seen how different people behave when drunk. You can tell a person's character when he or she is drunk. That is a time when the person is at true self. I realised that the reason why drunkards talked loudly is because the senses were weak under the infuence of alcohol.
I used to drink till I knock out everytime I 'm out drinking. Nowadays I find it hard to get so drunk till I knock out. Perhaps my body had got used to it over the years.
Not long ago when I was out drinking with a friend, I saw him coughing out blood at the end of the day due to lung infection. We drank alot that night, starting with beer at Boatquay and move on to Clarkquay for Chevas till about 4 in the mornng. I asked myself if its right for me to ask him out when I know that he can't drink due to health problem. That night he told me to bring beer to his funeral should he passed away befor me. Is it worth it to risk your life for drinking? Who invented beer or liquor and what was the reason behind?
I told myself that I don't drink for a reason, I drink simply because I enjoy it. Is it the truth? Am I enjying or am I torturing myself when I get drink??
When was your last time drinking and what was it for???
