Me, Alcoholic??

A friend asked me: 'When are u going to stop drinking and be sober?' I had asked myself this question quite some time ago too but after one big round, it goes back to why should I be sober everyday? Drinking and alcoholic is two different thing. Although I drink almost everyday but I am never a alcoholic. I don't depend on alcohol to get pass each and everyday. I agree that excessive alcohol is bad for the body but I don't go to the extent of abusing it. Its like a sword with two edge. It all depends on how you use it.

To me, drinking and pubbing is a culture. Different moods goes with different alcohol. I don't have a preference between beer, liquor or wine. It all depends on where I am, who I am with and how I feel.

Beer is like jeans and t-shirt; its comfortable and casual. Its acceptable to most of my friends regardless of age. It goes well for most occasion and blend you well with other pubbers. The feeling of beer gushing down the throat is cooling and relaxing.

Liquor is consider smart casual; Chevas or Martel with ice and water calm me down. I used to mix liquor with cokewhen I was young, in the end it doesn't matter what I am drinking as I can't differentiate between them. Nowadays I learn to appreciate different type of liquor.

Wine is something I pick up a couples of years. Its like a piece of suit. Every little detail has to be observed when having wine. I like the aroma that stay in your mouth after drinking. Fruity wines are my favourite. To me; wine goes well with cheese . I love the adrenalin rushing out my body as I opened the bottle. Its like unwrapping a present from the wrapper.

The law says 'If you drink, don't drive. If you drive don't drink.' I always abide the law, I've never drive when drinking. I always park my car before I proceed to drink in the pub and finish my last drink before I collect my car.
